Introduction
The essence of Surrey Tango is that it is a dance school that teaches tango, including milonga and tango vals, to traditional and more recent music. Surrey Tango has people from all around the World e.g Mexico, Germany, Greece, Iran, Japan, Poland and Ukraine, are just a few of the countries represented. What is Surrey Tango like? Well being closely associated with the University of Surrey we are young of mind and our aim is to have fun in a relaxed and musical environment. Unfortunately like many things in life, what appears to look easy turns out to be anything but! And befitting our liaison with the University the more you learn and know, the more you find out that there is yet to learn and to know. Surrey Tango is based at the University of Surrey, sign posted just off the A3 South of Guildford, UK Our current dancers have danced Tango in Berlin, Lisbon, Tel Aviv, Sofia, Stockholm, Barcelona, Rome, Moscow, Naples, St Petersburg, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Wiesbaden and, of course, Buenos Aires. |
